The Marshfield Cultural Council is one of 335 local councils (LCC's) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These councils are administered by the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), a statewide organization.

What does the local cultural council do?

Each year, the Massachusetts Cultural Council allocates funds to communities. Local cultural councils (LCCs) regrant these state funds to individuals, schools, and nonprofit organizations in their own communities. Members of the local council meet to review, discuss, and approve applications.

Council Membership - How do I join?

Enrich the arts in Marshfield. Join other members of your community as part of your local cultural council.

LCC members are appointed by the selectmen for a 3 year term. The MCC permits members to serve for two consecutive terms. The MCC also requires new members to attend an MCC sponsored training session. How often does the Marshfield Cultural Council meet?
