Restaurant reviews are submitted automatically without going through any approval process. However, an email is sent to me, and I will delete a review if I find that it is inappropriate.
Why would I delete a review?
- Obviously, reviews must not contain any offensive language.
- It must be an actual review, as opposed to a quick comment, e.g. "Loved it!"
- They must be written in a mature fashion.
If your review includes phrases such as "they totally suck", figure on it having a shelf life of two minutes.
- Use adult grammar (else u r pwn'd, n00b), check your spelling, and use capitalization correctly (uppercase the first letter of each sentence, etc.)
- I'll also delete reviews that are obvious attempts to enact some sort of revenge on a restaurant for an unpleasant experience there.
If you'd like to write a scathing review, go for it. Some restaurants deserve it.
But your review must be informative and not just a ranting tirade.
- Do not post remarks on previous reviews (see note below).
Suggestion: Mention a particular dish that you found especially good/bad.
Regarding your email address... Leave it blank if you wish, but if I delete a review, I'll email you with the reason if I have a way to reach you. Email addresses will NOT be posted or available to the general public.
Note: Please do not submit a
review as a rebuttal, reply or comment on a previous review. This
section is for your specific experiences at restaurants. It is
not a discussion forum.
