Bad move letting their best employee go

My husband and I go regularly with the exception of the past few weeks being away on summer vacation. we went in for lunch, had terrible service, a cold meal and were missing Jim; as he always took such good care of us and made us feel at home. he wasn't there and we asked the waitress who just rolled her eyes and said everyone's been asking for him that he was let go. We won't be back.

has turned horrible

We've been going to Famous for years, even as the owners changed. Usually love it. Lately the food has been terrible. Delivery used to be good, but now the pizza has been coming 45 minutes over the quoted time and the pizza is cold and gross. Very disappointing. mama mias, or capones here we come.

Worst Pizza I've Ever Had...

Got a cheese pizza delivered and it was absolutely awful...the kids wouldn't even eat it it was so bad. The crust was like cardboard, no exaggeration, it was really like cardboard, there was very little sauce and the cheese was tasteless and very greasy. To top it off the delivery took almost an hour when I was quoted 30 minutes and it was cold by the time we got it. I am done with Famous, I will drive to Mamma Mia or Pacini's instead.

new owner/higher prices!!!

I recently went to Famous for my fix of Buffalo Chicken pizza. When I received my pie it did not come with bleu cheese dressing. So I asked for some and the counter girl said that was extra. The new owner CHARGES EXTRA for bleu cheese dressing even with this pizza.Go back to the old way or I am done with Famous.

unsatisfied with new owners

Inconsistant

You just never know how the food will be. It depends on 1)who is taking your order and 2)who is cooking.
We have to double check the orders before we leave because unfortunately they are usually wrong.
The other night we order a grilled chicken salad, broccoli and chicken calzone and chicken teriyaki sub. I am happy to say that all 3 were outstanding! Fresh greens, still warm chicken, and tomatoes that were decent. The teriyaki sub was cooked to perfection, and not a bite left over. The calzone was also cooked perfectly with just the right amount of cheese. It was very satisfying and enough left over for lunch the next day.
I think Famous gets so busy that they cannot keep up with the order taking or the cooking.

Thank you!

The Class of 2009 would like to give a BIG thanks to Famous Pizza for all of their help last Thursday night in our Sophomore Pizza Night. We would also like to give a special thanks to Nick Sakkis for making our event possible. The night was a huge success and the service was fantastic! We look forward to another pizza night this fall! Famous, thank you for everything.

Disappointed and am usually very easy to please

An ill Marshfield friend I was going to visit suggested picking up supper at Famous Pizza. We got there after the supper rush, too. Very simple order -- steak & cheese sub, turkey sub and chicken caesar salad. It came to over $25, too, but I didn't question it. Well, it took a GOOD 30 minutes for these items, after continual "how are things coming?" from shy me. When we took the food to our friend's house, the salad (for my sick friend) had NO chicken in it and NO dressing for it!!! The turkey was turkey-roll-like (jelly-ish) and there was only 1 piece of cheese in it. And somehow we ended up with (AND PAID FOR) a fish & chips dinner which NONE of us liked or wanted (that's why the bill was over $25!!!). VERY disappointed overall and will not stop in there again for a 2nd chance (too bad -- the pizzas looked half normal!).

salads,salads,salads

I would have to agree with the person before me. The salads are always so fresh the greens are green the veggies are crisp ,the salads are all very good. I have had the tuna, chicken salad, greek , the grilled chicken is also very good. When not in the mood for salads try the calzones--just make sure you share the portions are large enough for two.

happy eating

Famous is cool...

... if you're 16 and looking to hang out at a place that isn't "home." I do order from here a lot, and I like that they deliver too. Good stuff. My personal rating? 3 out of 5 stars. -Bc

I highly recommend it.

My family eats there often. We find the service friendly and prompt and the atmosphere relaxed. The best antipasto I have ever had. Pizza, chicken Marsala and chicken parm are my families favorites.
